Alzheimer's Australia (Qld)’s Gold Coast Dementia and Memory Community Centre is a resource and public drop-in centre for people seeking information about dementia and dementia services in their local area. Services offered at the Gold Coast Dementia and Memory Centre include:
· Resources such as books, journals and videos;
· Regular visits by local dementia and memory experts (including general practitioners, neurologists, counsellors, educators etc);
· Computer access to online services;
· Counselling services;
· Activities and events; and
· Links to other local dementia information and support services.
These services are an Australian Government Initiative and are delivered by Alzheimer's Australia (Qld). Services are available to people with dementia, their carers and family, people with memory concerns, people at risk of developing dementia, and the broader community. Please feel free to visit the centre during business hours on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Alternatively, the Centre can be contacted Mon-Fri (9am-5pm) if you have any enquiries, would like to book a free appointment with a counsellor, or if you wish to sign-up for activities or educational courses.
